Philippe Guillot was appointed Executive director of the Markets Directorate at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the national regulator of France on March 2012. The Markets Directorate oversees markets and monitors market infrastructure and stakeholders. Since joining the Autorité des marchés financiers, Philippe has taken a leading role in the market microstructure debate, especially in relation to issues regarding tick size. He actively contributes to various ESMA working groups, focussing on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive Level II. Philippe began his career in finance in 1987 at DKL James Capel (now HSBC), where he held various positions. In 1991 he joined Enskilda Securities as a market maker, first in Paris, then in London. In 1998 he moved to Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux in Paris, taking over as head of Facilitation, before being made Group Trading director in 2006, in Paris and then London. Throughout this time Philippe has played an active role in numerous working groups and market authorities dealing with MiFID issues. He was a member of the Securities Trading Committee of the AFME (Association for Financial Markets in Europe), and represented Cheuvreux with the Regulated Markets and MTF (Multilateral Trading Facilities). David Bullen founded his own independent advisory consultancy in 2012, specialising in fixed income electronic trading and market structure change; driven both by regulatory reform and electronic efficiency. Prior to this, David led Citigroup's Global Rates & Credit e-Commerce businesses for 17 years. Previously, David managed Citi's cross-asset class FICC e-Commerce businesses in Europe and was also heavily involved in the launch of the FIX protocol to the Equities market whilst at Salomon Brothers in the late-90's. In 1990s Mr. Fondren launched the first Internet-based facility for single-price auctions of new asset-backed securities. Philip Simons has 30 years experience in the financial industry where he started life as a swaps trader before moving in to the clearing world, initially heading up the clearing business at UBS followed by Cargill. Philip later moved into the custody and collateral management space at J.P.Morgan before joining Deutsche Börse Group. Philip initially joined as head of the Clearing Sales and Relationship Management Section and is now Global Head of Fixed Income Derivatives Sales & Business Development for the Trading & Clearing of both listed and OTC products. Jacco Verpoorte joined Flow Traders in 2006 as an ETF trader, where he was responsible for setting up the European Sector ETF desk. After trading European Sector Equity ETFs for 4.5 years, he moved to the Emerging Markets Equity desk in the spring of 2011, to help grow the trading activity and product coverage. In the summer of 2014, the position as head of the Fixed Income desk opened up and Jacco switched from trading Equity ETFs to Fixed Income ETFs. Currently, the Fixed Income desk is market maker, liquidity provider and/or designated sponsor in over 650 Fixed Income ETF Isins on the major European Exchanges. Before joining to Kempen’s UK team in 2016, Miss Beyhan worked as a Fiduciary Manager for Kempen’s Dutch clients advising on strategic asset allocation. Chris has more than 14 years’ trading experience in the derivatives markets, and prior to his role at ICE Futures Europe, he was a founding partner and senior trader at Arc Derivatives. Mike Googe is the business manager for Bloomberg's transaction cost analysis product, known as BTCA. Based in London, Googe joined Bloomberg in 2009 as a transaction cost analysis (TCA) specialist. His more than 30 years’ industry experience in trading, execution consultancy and benchmark analytics helped Bloomberg develop its market-leading multi-asset transaction cost analysis (TCA) tools. Bloomberg TCA provides trading desks with performance metrics for pre, real-time and post trade. These analytics give trading desks on the sell side and buy side transparency into execution quality, as well as qualitative insights for decision support and trade surveillance activities.Under Googe's direction, the BTCA product has grown to support analytics for global equities, fixed income, OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, foreign exchange and structured products, such as mortgages and asset-backed securities.
