Lee is responsible for foreign exchange execution globally and also oversees fixed income trading in the UK and Asia. In 1991 Lee joined Sun Life Investment Management (which became part of AXA IM) as a member of the US equities team, moving into the fixed income team in 1994 as an analyst and from 1996 as an investment manager. In 2002, he moved to Trading & Securities Financing (TSF) to help establish fixed income, foreign exchange and money market dealing. In 2006, all pan-European FX trading was incorporated into TSF. Lee also worked with the business to develop electronic systems and oversee transaction cost analysis activities. In 2010, TSF created a desk to handle our global MM business and in 2012 Lee was given responsibility for fixed income execution in the UK and Asia. Lee is Chair of the Investment Association’s FX Working Group and a member of their Fixed Income Trading Stream. He is also a member of the Bank of England’s FX Joint Standing Committee on FX and a member of the Quorum15 Board. Lee left school after A-levels and worked in the equities markets for a number of years before joining Sun Life Investment Management in 1991.

Yann was previously Head of Fixed Income, Money Market & Repo Trading France for Axa Investment Managers. Since July 2007, Yann was overseeing fixed-income trading activities on desks located in Paris, He joined AXA IM in 2004 as a senior fixed income trader & OTC Derivatives. Prior to joining AXA IM, he was a fixed income trader at IXIS AM for 4 years, and previously broker at Cantor Fitzgerald during 3 years. Yann started his financial career in 1992 by joining the French Broker group, Maison Roussin. Yann also co-chair the ICMA Secondary Market Practice committee since 2017.

Anthony Hilton, the chief economics and business commentator for the Evening Standard is one of the longest serving British business journalists having joined Fleet Street in 1968 as a Trainee on the Guardian, with an MA in economics. A multiple award winner for his journalism he last year collected the Journalist of the year award from the British Insurance Brokers Association and in March was given a life time achievement award by the ABI. His most recent success was the Headline Money Award for “ Outstanding Achievement.” He began his public speaking career when he worked for three years as economic commentator for Channel 4’ on The Business Programme in the late 1980s and subsequently went on to devise and co present the Stocks and Shares Show for ITV. Currently he is the finance and business commentator for the Evening Standard and a weekly columnist for The Independent. Anthony will be delivering the keynote ‘An update on Brexit negotiations 18 months on from triggering Article 50: What has been the impact on the economy, EU-UK trade relations and the investment landscape?’ on the 11th September.

Chris White has 18 years of financial services experience with more than 13 years dedicated to fixed income electronic business development. His journey in financial technology began in 2003 when he joined the electronic corporate bond trading start up, MarketAxess. After helping establish the MarketAxess platform, Mr. White transitioned his career to the sell side, working for leading investment banks like Barclays, Lehman and Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for modernizing their respective credit market making businesses. During his time at Goldman Sachs (2010 – 2015), Mr. White invented the GSessions corporate bond trading platform and the first corporate bond IOI. Currently, Mr. White is the founder and CEO of two companies, ViableMkts, an advisory firm that provides strategic guidance on financial technology and fixed income market structure and BondCliQ, a start-up company that is building an innovative central market system for corporate bonds.

Prior to working at Morgan Stanley, Wallin also worked in the legal department of The Dreyfus Corporation and with the law firm of Cole and Dietz. He also had been with Alliance Capital previously, from 1982 to 1986. He is a member of the New York Bar and a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.

James Switzer joined AllianceBernstein in 2011 as global Head of Credit Trading, overseeing both investment-grade and high-yield credit trading. Previously, he was a managing director at Société Générale, where he managed the Financial Institutions Credit Trading Desk, and at BNP Paribas, where he managed the Investment Grade Trading Desk from 2000 to 2002. Switzer also formerly served as a sector portfolio manager/trader at UBS Principal Finance (from 2002 to 2005) and at Sigma Capital (from 2005 to 2008). Earlier in his career, he worked at Paine Webber and Co.; Kidder, Peabody & Co.; and Alex. Brown & Sons. Switzer holds a BA in biology from Colgate University.

Brigitte Posch is Head of Barings’ Emerging Markets Corporate Group. Brigitte is the lead portfolio manager for this strategy, as well as the Emerging Markets Debt Short Duration strategy.. Brigitte has worked in the industry since 1992 and her experience has encompassed emerging markets structured credit, investment grade and high yield corporate bonds and loans. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, she was an executive vice president portfolio manager – head of emerging markets corporates at PIMCO. Before PIMCO, she was a managing director and head of Latin America securitization and trading at Deutsche Bank. She was previously a Director with Ambac where she was responsible for developing asset- and mortgage-backed securities in emerging markets. Prior to Ambac, she was vice president and senior credit officer with Moody’s Investors Service where she was responsible for rating asset- and mortgage-backed securities in Latin America. Mary has spent her entire professional career in fixed income. Starting in 1993 upon the completion of her MSc in Economics at the London School of Economics, she worked the first thirteen years in the dealing rooms of Paribas, DrKW and Lehman Brothers in London as Euro bond strategist and Debt Capital Markets professional. In 2006 she took time out to write her PhD thesis on the integration of European corporate bond markets. She first worked for ING Investment Management (now NN IP) and then for APG Asset Management, both as a Senior Strategist for the fixed income portfolios of respectively the largest life insurer (Nationale Nederlanden) and largest pension fund (ABP) in the Netherlands. She joined ABN AMRO in September 2015, where she leads a team of fixed income specialists globally which is responsible for delivering high performing portfolios and investment recommendations to the private clients of ABN AMRO. Philippe Guillot was appointed Executive director of the Markets Directorate at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the national regulator of France on March 2012. Since joining the Autorité des marchés financiers, Philippe has taken a leading role in the market microstructure debate, especially in relation to issues regarding tick size. He actively contributes to various ESMA working groups, focussing on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive Level II. Philippe began his career in finance in 1987 at DKL James Capel (now HSBC), where he held various positions. In 1991 he joined Enskilda Securities as a market maker, first in Paris, then in London. In 1998 he moved to Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux in Paris, taking over as head of Facilitation, before being made Group Trading director in 2006, in Paris and then London. Throughout this time Philippe has played an active role in numerous working groups and market authorities dealing with MiFID issues. Before joining BlackRock in 2013, Mr. Pybus worked at UBS Global Asset Management from 2008-2013 as a fixed income investment specialist focused on global, currency and high yield strategies. Prior to that he worked for Lehman Brothers Asset Management from 2005-2008. Mr. Pybus started his career at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as part of the Strategic Planning and Product Development group from 1999-2005.Mr. Pybus holds an MSc in Economics from University College London and a BSc in Economics from the University of Southampton. Nicholas Bean is the Head of Trading Venues at Bloomberg since February 2018. He is responsible for the strategy and operations of Bloomberg's trading platforms and products for fixed income instruments, FX and derivatives, and related direct connectivity services, on the Bloomberg Terminal. The solutions he oversees include the Bloomberg SEF and MTF, the fixed income trading platform FIT, the FX trading platform FXGO, and Bloomberg's execution management systems (EMSX, FXEM and TSOX). He joined Bloomberg in 2014 as Global Head of the Fixed Income electronic trading product. Prior to that, Bean spent 17 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he worked across the firm's fixed income electronic trading business.

Raphael set up and manages Invescos ETF portfolio management team in EMEA. The team is currently building out a broad range of passive Fixed Income ETFs. Prior to moving to London, he worked as an analyst at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs in New York. Raphael is a CFA charter holder and holds an MBA from Emory University.

He has trained Governments, private organisations and NGO’s in effective communication and negotiation and has corporate experience as Head of Global Operational Security/Intelligence for FTSE 100 ‘Blue Chip’ companies in the UK and overseas. He was a lead trainer on the UK National Hostage Negotiation Course at New Scotland Yard is a graduate the FBI Crisis Intervention Course at Quantico, Virginia. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and a member of the International Security Managers Association (ISMA) Executive Leadership Programme. Chris now works with individuals and businesses to increase the effectiveness of communication in business, in the public sector and private life. He is in demand as a mentor; a speaker at corporate events on topics such as motivation, leadership and how advanced negotiation skills can translate to business. He is currently studying clinical psychotherapy.

Jacco Verpoorte heads the Institutional Trading department at Flow Traders. His team covers the relationships with over 700 European buy side counterparties as well as all European ETF issuers. Jacco Verpoorte joined Flow Traders in 2006 as an ETF trader, where he was responsible for setting up the European Sector ETF desk. After trading European Sector Equity ETFs for 4.5 years, he moved to the Emerging Markets Equity desk in the spring of 2011, to help grow the trading activity and product coverage. In the summer of 2014, the position as head of the Fixed Income desk opened up and Jacco switched from trading Equity ETFs to Fixed Income ETFs. Currently, the Fixed Income desk is market maker, liquidity provider and/or designated sponsor in over 650 Fixed Income ETF Isins on the major European Exchanges. After heading the Fixed Income desk for over 3 years, Jacco moved from the trading side to the sales side of the organization early 2018.

Maya Beyhan, Investment Strategist, is responsible for building bespoke strategic solutions through asset liability modelling and producing analysis to support recommendations for Kempen’s UK clients.

Before joining to Kempen’s UK team in 2016, Miss Beyhan worked as a Fiduciary Manager for Kempen’s Dutch clients advising on strategic asset allocation. She then also created, used and maintained models to calculate the expected risk and return of potential investment strategies, monitor and project funding levels, attribute risk and return, hedge liabilities and create proxy liability cashflows.

She started her career as an investment consultant within Aon Hewitt Amsterdam’s investment strategy team, advising clients on asset allocation, liability hedging solutions and introducing new asset classes. Miss Beyhan earned a PhD in quantum chemistry from VU University Amsterdam and a MSc degree in theoretical physics from Groningen University in the Netherlands.

Arvind Chari has 14 years of experience in the Indian fixed income markets as a dealer, analyst, and portfolio manager. Karim is European Head of Fixed Income Trading at Invesco where he has been since the end of 2015, he is in charge of a team that trades IG, HY, EM, IRS, CDS, swaptions and inflation swaps, he is also on the board of the FMSB as the representative for Invesco. Karim has worked with Credit Derivatives since 2001, starting from Emerging Market CDS and moving on to running Goldman's EM Structured Credit Trading business in 2004, and then on to Credit Hybrids at JPM where he ran the Asia Credit Exotics business from 2008 to 2012 before moving to a Multi Asset sales role. Karim has a keen interest in MOOC learning and has completed courses in Neural Networking, Machine Learning, Cryptography and Data Analytics. Karim holds a D.Phil. in Organic Chemistry from Oxford and an M.A. in Natural Sciences from Cambridge.
