Lee is responsible for foreign exchange execution globally and also oversees fixed income trading in the UK and Asia. In 1991 Lee joined Sun Life Investment Management (which became part of AXA IM) as a member of the US equities team, moving into the fixed income team in 1994 as an analyst and from 1996 as an investment manager. In 2002, he moved to Trading & Securities Financing (TSF) to help establish fixed income, foreign exchange and money market dealing. In 2006, all pan-European FX trading was incorporated into TSF. Lee also worked with the business to develop electronic systems and oversee transaction cost analysis activities. In 2010, TSF created a desk to handle our global MM business and in 2012 Lee was given responsibility for fixed income execution in the UK and Asia. Lee is Chair of the Investment Association’s FX Working Group and a member of their Fixed Income Trading Stream. He is also a member of the Bank of England’s FX Joint Standing Committee on FX and a member of the Quorum15 Board. Lee left school after A-levels and worked in the equities markets for a number of years before joining Sun Life Investment Management in 1991.

Thierry de Vergnes is the Former Global Head of Debt Fund Management of Lyxor Debt Fund Management activities: a business ( fka Egret Management LLP) that he founded and managed for Société Générale Group until its sale in January 2017. Mr de Vergnes joined Societe Generale in April 2004 as Managing Director of Projects and Development within the Leveraged Finance team. In 2005, he initiated the formation of Egret Management LLP, now Lyxor AM UK, which, since its formation, has raised more than 1 billion € invested in sub investment grade loans and bonds through a CLO and debt funds. Prior to this Mr de Vergnes was co-head of Indosuez Capital, the US based Merchant Banking and Asset Management arm of Credit Agricole Indosuez (currently known as Credit Agricole Corporate Investment Banking) that he had joined in 1995, and was Head of the Merchant Banking activity. As co-head of Indosuez Capital, Mr de Vergnes participated in management and served on investment committees of five CDO funds totaling more than $2 billion in aggregate (75% leveraged loans, 25% High Yield bonds). Mr de Vergnes began his career in Paris at Indosuez in the Credit Department before transferring to the Equity Capital Department and moving to London in the Corporate Finance activity. He has particular experience in the Cable, Healthcare Services, Waste Management Services and IT sectors. Mr de Vergnes is French, has a degree in Mining Engineering, an MBA degree from the Institut Français du Petrole and is registered with the FCA.

Andy was previously a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where he was the Global Head of Listed Electronic Execution & European Head of Derivatives Clearing. Andy joined Morgan Stanley in June 1998 as an analyst in Operations, serving in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility. Following a short stint at Deutsche Bank, Andy returned to Morgan Stanley in June 2004, with promotion to Vice President in Operations. After a diverse career in Operations, Andy moved to the Counterpart Portfolio Management where he was promoted to an Executive Director. Andy then lead the OTC clearing business in Europe and was promoted to Managing Director. Andy was responsible for listed and OTC clearing in Europe and global electronic listed execution in his last role at Morgan Stanley. Andy earned a Bachelor of Science degree (2.1) from the University of Edinburgh. Gerben Everts is Board Member of the AFM, starting in 2011. He is a member of the IOSCO, ESRB and IFIAR Boards and Chair of the Monitoring Group. He came from Dutch asset manager APG and held several ancillary (inter)national positions in the field of financial reporting, auditing and corporate governance for representative organizations of institutional investors. From 2002 to 2006 he worked in Brussels for the European Commission, DG Internal Market. His focus throughout his career has been on cross-asset order and execution management. Mehmet Mazi is Global Head of Credit Trading at HSBC since September 2015. Based in the London headquarters, he oversees trading, structuring, origination, financing and distribution activities of loans, bonds and other traded receivables with teams located in Hong Kong, London, New York and Dubai and few other financial centres. Previously he was Head of Emerging Markets in HSBC's Global Markets division from 2006 to 2015 where he was responsible for regional management of markets activities and onshore and offshore risk in more than 33 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joined the bank's Turkish unit in 1995 and played an instrumental role in the build-up of HSBC's Turkey operations as Head of Treasury and Trading. In 2001 he relocated to London and ran the Local Currency Trading unit. Head of EMEA Fixed Income Market Structure, Citi Ashlin began her career at LIFFE where she was responsible for the management of the bond futures contracts including refining of the specifications and new products. Around the time of the automated trading evolution, Ashlin moved to work for an electronic trading operator, MTS, and again was responsible for product management, becoming increasingly involved in market structure issues. She is now at Citi, since 2007, heading up EMEA Fixed Income Market Structure and was, until recently, responsible for EMEA G10 rates and credit e-commerce, leading electronic innovations on behalf of both sales and trading to ensure Citi’s offering to its client base remained competitive. In recent years, Ashlin has become increasingly involved in impacts to the industry arising from regulatory changes; assisting in internal and external advocacy; and providing thought leadership to Citi’s clients. She is currently an active member of the AFME Fixed Income MiFID II Committee and ICMA’s MiFID II and electronic working groups, as well as following the ISDA MiFID II Committee.

As co – founder of Salix Capital he has over 20 years of experience in fixed income and currency derivatives. Prior to founding Salix he was a Partner at Harness as an FX advisor. Before this appointment Mr Ratcliffe was employed as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Drawbridge UK LLP, part of the Fortress Investment Group. Between 2002 and 2005, Jonathan was appointed Head of Proprietary Trading at Standard Bank overseeing their interest rate derivative business. He joined Standard Bank after serving four years at Gen Re Financial as a Director, where he managed multi-currency interest rate swap and option portfolios. Phil has been a trader at Jane Street for over 7 years. He joined the ETF execution team from Jane Street’s proprietary fixed income desk where he was a senior fixed income trader. Phil is the team’s resident expert on fixed income ETFs. 

Phil played an instrumental role in building out Jane Street’s bond trading desk and is an expert in electronic bond trading and the market structure related to it. He is Jane Street’s primary point of contact for venues and electronic trading for the corporate bond market. 

Prior to Jane Street Phil spent over 5 years as a trader and heading capital management at BlueMountain Capital. He also spent several years at both Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas as a credit and rates middle office manager. 

Phil holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Fordham Gabelli School of Business in New York.

Andy also supports ICMA’s work related to repo market liquidity. Bond Connect was successfully launched on 3 July 2017 as a mutual bond market access programme between Hong Kong and Mainland China, and Mr Martin serves as the General Manager of Bond Connect Company Limited, a joint venture established by China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS) and HKEX. Prior to joining HKEX, Mr Martin was Head of RMB Competence Centre, Managing Director and Deputy Head of Fixed Income China at BNP Paribas, and played a key role in establishing its presence in Mainland China and pioneering the development of RMB derivatives and flow products in its global platform amid the RMB internationalisation. He has over 16 years of banking experience with BNP Paribas, with over 10 years spent between Shanghai and Hong Kong. Mr Martin is an Asian financial market, fixed income and foreign exchange expert. He is fluent in English, French and Mandarin. Mr Martin holds a master of business administration (MBA) degree from ESSEC Business School, Paris.
