Chioma Okoye

Chioma Okoye is responsible for European Institutional Credit at Tradeweb. Her current role involves providing flexible and innovative ways to trade investment grade and high yield corporate bonds for institutional investors, taking new protocols and features from initial concept to market launch, as well as enhancing existing ones. Chioma first joined Tradeweb in 2015 as product manager and sales specialist for Emerging Markets, tasked with the development of the firm’s EM fixed income offering for Asia ex-Japan and CEEMEA. In this role, she worked on the China Bond Connect initiative and expanded Tradeweb’s CEEMEA hard and local currency bond offering. Prior to Tradeweb, Chioma was at Goldman Sachs in London for 11 years. She worked in Short Term Interest Rates Products origination and investor marketing at the start of her career. Chioma then moved into the Emerging Markets Fixed Income cross-product sales team, covering EM-focused hedge funds and continental real money clients across credit, rates, FX and option products. She eventually segued into eCommerce and set up the EMEA e-trading strategy for the firm’s Fixed Income Emerging Markets business. Chioma holds an Economics degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
