Robbert Booij

Robbert Booij was appointed to the Executive Board of Eurex Frankfurt AG in May 2024 and has been its Chief Executive Officer since July 2024. Since 1 April 2025, he has been also appointed Head of Financial Derivatives at Deutsche Börse, being overall responsible for financial derivatives trading and clearing. Booij has extensive experience in international derivatives markets, having served as CEO Europe of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. from 2018 to 2024, responsible for market access, clearing and financing activities in Europe, the UK and Brazil. He had previously held various management positions at the company since 2007. He started his career at the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets in 2002. From 2019 to 2023, Booij was a member of the Exchange Council of Eurex Deutschland which he chaired since July 2021. He was also Chairman of the European Board of the Futures Industry Association (FIA) and a member of the FIA Global Board from 2020 to 2024. In June 2025, Booij was appointed to the CFTC's Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC).
